Top 5 Scary Night Lights Which Should Never Have Been Made!

Fright Lights not Night Lights!

The reason many people have a night light is to help them get a restful nights sleep, especially if they suffer from any type of fear of the dark.

So it does beg the question of how these Fright Lights ever got made? Surely these had to be seen by more than one set of eyes before being packaged and sent out! Who was responsible for product testing?

I cannot imagine any of the following night lights helping you doze off to sleep in any way, shape or form. Quite the opposite in fact. Some of them are absolutely terrifying. Proceed with caution if you are of a nervous disposition.

To the best of my knowledge all these night lights shown are genuine products, and not computer renderings or

5. Chicken Night Light

I’ll start off gently with this bizarre chicken lamp with a bulb coming out of its behind, in place of an egg. It’s more odd than scary, but I can imagine that a spot-lit chicken bottom isn’t the best thing to see in a dark room.

4. Minnie Mouse

This Minnie Mouse night light looks fairly normal and not scary at all when it’s turned off, but when it’s turned on, the light casts a spooky shadow across her face making her smile look sinister.

3. Dory

Dory from Pixar’s Finding Nemo is an instantly recognisable character with a friendly smile, and warm welcoming eyes.

However, when this night light is turned on, it takes on a much scarier air. Her smile becomes a terrifying grimace, and her eyes become soulless pools of black.

2. Upcycled doll head

I like upcycling. Giving old things new life with a quick makeover, or a fresh like of paint works wonders with old furniture, or clothes. But perhaps, turning an antique dolls head into a night light was perhaps not the best idea.

The light shining from the poor dolls eyes and mouth reminds me of Treyarch’s C.O.D Zombie games.

1. Clown head 🤡

Of all these terrible night lights I found, I think this one is by far the worst. I’m certain no one wants to open their eyes and see an eerie clown face lit up with a ghostly glow.

I don’t know who’s idea this was, but their scary clown head night light is officially the scariest night light we’ve found.!
